members have compiled a recipe book, copies of which are for
sale @ $10.00. Feeding the Flock for 100 Years contains
favorites, some of which will appear on this web page from time
to time. Hard cover, comb binding, about 110 pages; it will make

Chicken Breasts Over Rice
1 frying chicken or 4 boned chicken breasts
1 c. Minute Rice and 1 c. water OR
1 c. raw rice and 2 c. water
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. instant onion soup mix
Put rice and water in buttered shallow
casserole. Lay chicken pieces over rice. Mix together cream of
celery and cream of mushroom soup. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle
with dry onion soup mix. Cover baking dish tightly with foil.
Bake 2 hours at 325°.

Easy Caramel Popcorn
1 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
16 big marshmallows
Melt in microwave-safe dish and pour over
10 cups of popcorn. Mix well and enjoy!

Apple Butter
6 lbs. tart apples
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
6 c. cider or apple juice
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Core and quarter unpared apples. Cook in
cider or juice in a large saucepan until soft, about 30 minutes.
Press through sieve to remove peels and seeds. Boil gently 30
minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in sugar and spices. Cook
and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Boil gently
until desired thickness is reached, about an hour. Pour into
4 pint jars, adjust lids and process in boiling water bath for
10 minutes. Start counting when water returns to a boil.
